The Royal Gorge Is a Year-Round Playground For Outdoor Adventure
Welcome to the Royal Gorge, one of the most geographically stunning areas in the state of Colorado, located within the Arkansas River Valley. Here, you will find our state's most famous views. Our home is abundant with deep ravines, endless meadows, forests, towering views of the dramatic Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and of course, the famous rugged canyons of the Royal Gorge. Deep within the Gorge is where the mighty Arkansas River flows.
There are endless opportunities to play. Hiking, biking, rafting, climbing, and ziplining are all popular here because of the rugged and varying terrain.
Point Alta Vista Trail
Ride or hike the trails that were home to the Royal Gorge Scenic Railway tracks for over 50 years. The mile-long trestle bridge is redecked as a public trail for biking, hiking, and dog walking. The trail includes a lookout point with views of the Arkansas River, the Royal Gorge Bridge, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Mountain Biking & Hiking Trails
There are so many trails waiting for you to explore. There are trails all around the Adventure Hub - our home to ziplining, rafting, and the Royal Gorge vacation rental cabins, yurts, and airstreamers. Enjoy the trails or kick back and watch all the rafting and ziplining action from a patio chair. If you plan to stay and rent one of our Royal Gorge Cabins, we've created endless bike and hiking trails all around our properties.
Climbing & Bouldering
Climb the Via Ferrata or the “Iron Way", a system of steel cables and rungs fixed to the rocks of the Gorge walls. This helps climbers to secure themselves with ease and safety. There are paths for beginner, intermediate, and experienced climbers. Open to the public through public trails.
One Location. 100% Epic.
The Ultimate Gorge Experience
Get out, get wild, or just relax. All the adventure is in one place. Spend more time vacationing, and less time traveling.
